I feel the cockpit text that describes a button or switch in DCS is rather blurry. I have selected 1024 in every frame but I assume this only adjusts the monitors?

Can I try something else?

Do you have Deferred Shading set to on?

There are various topics about this creating blurry text in the cockpit.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

So thats your problem. If you turn it off, the blurryness will be gone (however i still feel that in 1.5.8 it was a lot sharper still) but then your trees and stuff will look ugly.

I turned it off because there are other light problems with deferred shading set to on. Gamma setting can overcome these a bit but not all.

And, trees look good with DS set to on but then when i'm in the air the only thing that counts is my cockpit, trees don't matter there.

The problem is that I fly a lot of choppers and I feel the trees must be as they are with deferred shading on...

Also, try disabling FXAA in Nvidia panel if this is what you are using.

This did help some yes. I'll investigate further. Thank you!

I was going to say "disable FXAA" but bolek was faster.

If you still think your button labels are blurry with FXAA off, please post a .PNG screenshot so we can guess where the issue comes from.

We don't think they are blurry, we are 100% sure they are blurry (because they are unreadable). A posted .png will make no difference.

(Deferred Shading OFF, FXAA: OFF (in nVidia CP))

Sorry for the hijack, but I have the same problem in VR. Highest cockoit textures don't help. I can barely read the labels in the A10c, even with VR zoom.

Do you have alternate suggestions for VR?

Hi,

Asus z170s, i5-7600k @ 4.3ghz, 16Gb Ram @ 3200mhz, GTX 1080ti. Win 10 on 256gb SSD, DCS 2.5 Standalone installed on 7200rpm HDD.

I'm using the default VR settings, with only the cockpit textures increased.

No need for being rude. I was trying to help. My button labels aren't blurry. Actually, I've never seen that issue in DCS. That is why I asked for a screenshot.

Here is a screenshot of my button labels : not blurry

Now, does the issue only happen in VR?
