In the latest change log: "If an airbase has multiple runways in parallel the ATC will indicate which runway the player should take." Nellis AFB is an airbase and has two parallel runways. I have yet been able to get ATC to assign either 21 Left or 21 Right. Anyone else been successful getting the correct runway assignment from ATC?

I've noticed that it only works while on the ground, requesting permission to taxi - the text then includes the RWY L/R assignment, and there's another voice over, either "path 1" or "path 2" (placeholders I guess). However, it's sadly not working while airborne, requesting permission to land - then it's still just the RWY direction like before...

Thanks for the feedback. I first always think it must be something I am doing incorrectly, but I will be patient while the whole ATC issues continue to be addressed.

I remember that someone once said that Nellis has a specific ruleset when it comes to choosing runway IRL. One is used for takeoffs and the other one for landings or something like that. I don't remember exactly what was said, but maybe it has something to do with this, why the same runway is always given from the ATC when landing.

As ac5 points out, it's neglected since years.

I would easily give up some of the eye candy (who can see those details anyway if you're 10.000 feet up in the air, i don't see any grass moving in the wind from that hight, do you) and get some work done on the ATC.

Last night i was playing a bit and got an abort, go around call from Nellis ATC after being cleared to land on RWY 21 (L or R, who knows). After that, ATC turned off the radio's on their side....

The whole ATC has been a hit and miss since DCS brought it over from the Lockon era. It didn't work really well back then either but with DCS bringing the level up quite a bit (even 8 years ago), ATC was left out in the cold back then and till is today. Even 12 year old FSX does a hell of a better job ATC wise then 2018 DCS ATC.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

So same experience as rrohde here. The ATC gave me takeoff permission for runway 3/r whilst i was standing on the ramp, but on approach i was ordered to land on runway 21 without further info whether the left or right one.
