What am I doing wrong. I keeping ending in these rudder oscillations from left to right, when coming to a hover. I know, I´m not supposed to chase the oscillations, but why do I keep ending in them?

Any tips?

I have removed the springs from my CH Pedals, and maybe my rudder is a bit off sometimes. Could this be a problem, if I´m a bit off on the rudder, and compensating with aelerons or something? Just a thought. (I removed the springs for the KA-50). Maybe I should add them inn.

Chances are that it’s your control of your rudder.

No issues here.

Yeah probably. They are hard to get out off, because I need to not fight them, and "go with them" but then I can't point my aircraft to where I want it to go, if I´m working on these left-right movements.

Or... could be a switch, that I´ve forgotten? Cause I don't see anyone else (on youtube) working on these problems. Seems it's just me doing something wrong.

VSTOL flaps ON. Going in on 60 degrees nozzle, ending at 82 nozzle. Trying to keep witch hat at -3 or thereabouts. Is my usual approach.

I also have the CH Pro pedals, unmodified with no curve applied; I've not entered into any PIOs whilst transitioning into or out of the hover.

This enter into PIO state could be compounded by the removal of the springs.

The transition into and out of the hover being the critical period on entering ~30kts to ~90kts; there was a potential to enter into PIOs, having read and listened to actual stories on it, so limit yourself to pedal deflection to correct, i.e. once you've started a yaw moment back towards the heading you desire, centre the pedals and let the nose come around at a sensible speed, all the while being prepared to then start to apply gentle opposite pedal to slow the yaw moment, reducing it until on heading.
