Mi-8s are busy, we got things to do, places to go. We don't have time to wait around for all the lesser helicopters to mosey their way downtown.

Where did I say that all other players were in Mi-8s ???

A NEW MISSION HAS ARRIVED!!!

Operation: Five Points Unleashed

* The mission will go online tomorrow between 2000 and 2100 zulu time.

* Mission lasts for 8 hours, unless you complete the objective!

ickaVr5.jpg

Situation:

Operation Five Points was merely the beginning of an inevitable campaign of fighting over the raw materials in the western parts of the region. Five Points Unleashed is the name of the game. Capturing and holding all 5 airbases is a must!

The following airbases must be captured and held:

- Krasnodar P

- Krasnodar C

- Krymsk

- Novorossiysk

- Gelendzhik

Mi-8's and UH-1's are assigned for the task of deploying troops to complete the objective.

* To win the day, a coalition has to capture all 5 airbases. After that the mission ends.

NOTES:

- All 5 airbases are neutral at mission's start.

- Red operates from Maykop's airbase and FARP Kalitka.

- Blue operates from Anapa's airbase.

- Capturing Krasnodar P allows Red to activate additional aircraft in that airbase.

- Capturing Krymsk allows Blue to activate additional aircraft in that airbase.

- Weapons are limited so pilots are required to be at the top of the game of professionalism!

Red Objective:

MiG's, L-39's:

- Hold position around the bullseye area and engage any bandits you see.

- Stay west of where our strikers are attacking and keep bandits off.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Su-25's, Ka-50's:

*** Only required if the enemy has captured at least 1 airbase ***

*** If not, stick to Mi-8 transport operations ***

Waypoint-1: Krasnodar P

Waypoint-2: Krasnodar C

Waypoint-3: Krymsk

Waypoint-4: Novorossiysk

Waypoint-5: Gelendzhik

Once the enemy captures an airbase, your strike objectives are required. Check out on the F-10 map whether any of the 5 airbases (neutral at mission's start) are Blue (hostile) or not.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mi-8's:

Primary: Deploy troops at the 5 given airbases to capture them.

Secondary: Deploy air defences any where you see fit to fortify our defences.

NOTE:

For picking up a crate, maintain hover over it for 5 seconds, while keeping an altitude of at least 7.5 meters and a maximum altitude of 15 meters.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Frequencies:

AWACS 21: 124 MHz, channel 0 for MiG-21 and L-39, channel 2 for MiG-19

AWACS 15: 4.95 MHz (tuned by default)

Maykop's ATC: 125 MHz

Mi-8's Jardo 1A for intercomms with other Mi-8's only: 035500 KHz

R-828: Channel 2 for Mi-8's and Ka-50's (helicopters co-operations)

**********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Blue Objective:

F-5's, AJS37's, F-86's:

- Hold position around the bullseye area and engage any bandits you see.

- Stay east of where our strikers are attacking and keep bandits off.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A-10's:

*** Only required if the enemy has captured at least 1 airbase ***

*** If not, stick to UH-1 transport operations ***

Waypoint-1: Krymsk

Waypoint-2: Novorossiysk

Waypoint-3: Gelendzhik

Waypoint-4: Krasnodar C

Waypoint-5: Krasnodar P

Once the enemy captures an airbase, your strike objectives are required. Check out on the F-10 map whether any of the 5 airbases (neutral at mission's start) are Red (hostile) or not.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UH-1's:

Primary: Deploy troops at the 5 given airbases to capture them.

Secondary: Deploy air defences any where you see fit to fortify our defences.

NOTE:

For picking up a crate, maintain hover over it for 5 seconds, while keeping an altitude of at least 25 feet and a maximum altitude of 50 feet.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Frequencies:

AWACS: 251 MHz

Anapa's ATC: 250 MHz and 121 MHz

Can you please enable 1st person CombinedArms for a few Shilkas and Strelas (red team) ? :) (since there's only 2 tac com slots anyways, it shouldn't cause any issues at all. "Two towns" mission)

Any units you deploy by your Mi-8/UH-1 should be available for CA drivers.

I just added 4 x BMP-2's and 4 x Bradley's for CA users. Use these vehicles to assist ground forces around the bullseye.

Hope I put a smile on your face :smilewink:

Server's back up. Had to bring it down to include some missions' updates plus the new mission Five Points Unleashed, which will go online tonight after the mission Ossetia.

Hope you like it.

Share your feedback, please. Without your feedback I can't improve so don't be shy :smilewink:

Uhmmm I mentioned Shilka + Strela because I intend to launch at players (aircraft) with the intention of either denying airspace or damaging/shooting them down, not playing against ai ground units. (example video of what I mean:

Ossetia operates with the old weapon restrictions.

Well, you can deploy Shilkas. Strelas would change the mission's scenario. You wouldn't be sending fighters and interceptors over an area with IR SAM's in it.

The BMP-2's are strong enough against aerial units and Shilkas can be deployed. There you go.

Ossetia operates with the old weapon restrictions.

Thanks for reporting.

Alpenwolf, in Five Points Unleashed there are two cargo loads at the Red FARP that can be (actual-style) slingloaded. I think they were a fuel tank and a logistics box or something. Do those have any effect on the mission, if we take them somewhere?

Also, small bug when you try to contact the FARP on the radio, there's no name for Kalitka in the list of possible ATCs. It's there, and you can contact it on 122.5Mhz, but the name next to "F1" or whatever is blank.

The ammo boxes shouldn't be sling loaded actually. They have no effect on anything. I'll fix that.

I'll see what's wrong with the FARP.

Cheers!

great idea withe Five points unleashed mission, would you please consider making the mission start time a little earlier?? also, is it intended not to alow helos in the farp to get AA crates?? great mission by the way, but it would benefit from having ground units to strike/support. Again thank you very much for your work.
