Update: after some testings, only temperature affects Cat end speed. Up to 39°, launchs are correct.

More temp than 39 result in a low speed launch.

Verified and reported thanks.

I can't even lunch at temperatures less than 6*C without AB. Aircraft just sits on cat and does nothing.

Can't reproduce this. I slowly increased power and at 99%N1 cat launch occurred for me. Maybe check your throttle curves?

My throttle axes are linear. Reheat detent is set to "always on"

Here is track:

Hmmn, very strange indeed you are right even after I took control of your jet. Can't think why, took your .trk into Mission Editor and tried increasing carrier speed, changing wind etc. to no avail. Mine launched at clean A/C full internal fuel. I will add yr .trk file to my report and see what they find. Thanks

Cat launch still doesn't work at low temperatures.

Here's new track flown with newest beta build.

I'll look into this but I think there might be some internal confusion. There was a problem with high temp Cat failures which was fixed, I think cold temp fix is still being worked on.

+1

Just tested it with latest Open Beta. My RPM will never hit 100% with low temperatures, i have no problems with normal temperatures, linear thrust Axis.

After last update the plane will not take of from the catapult. Here we go again… :(

Before the update the plane lunshed by it self after some seconds using full throttle.

EDIT: It Works in summer but not in Winter anymore. Is it supposed to be like that?

Just validating the issue with cat failing to initiate with cold conditions. With testing I've found the issue occurs when engine rpm fails to register 99% due to weather conditions and appears the cat trigger looks for mil power based on rpm. However when I exit the mission and bump the temp back up into the positives, save and then launch mission from ME the bug remains even though rpm reaches 99%. The only way to clear it with that mission that I've found is to reload default weather, redo the settings and then test.

I don't test for bugs, but when I do I do it in production.

I have a couple of 'extreme' cold weather missions with cat launches. (Cold weather missions are fun because it makes low altitude fuel consumption even more of a mission factor.)

Even with the 8/29 and 8/31 updates the Hornet is still not launching unless temp is well above freezing. Fix please!!!
