to help align with the landing deck? currently I can always end up on the wrong side of the runway.

 

that line which helps pilots see as an extension of the landing deck centerline? if they are on the right azimuth?

I dont know what it is called. The stripey thing hanging from the 45 degree slopey end of the landing deck on the after structure. I always aim at the crotch though, but I need to be aligned from afar.

 

I wonder if there is an offset to the BRC that can be inputted to TACAN as CSEL for aligning directly with the landing strip.

 

Where is the TACAN beacon emitting from on the ship?

I read somewhere here that the landing deck is - 9° off the carrier heading, i.e if the carrier course is 360° you should input a CSEL of 351°

Maybe you can attach a photo, because I cant figure out if your referring to the "Ladder Lines", "Foul Lines" or "Shot Line"?

Take a screen shot of the flight deck on approach and point out the line you are referring to or do the same with the many photos available on the internet for reference and point out the line you are referring to.

Besides, if you do your CASE I proper way on a airfield you will never come out aligned with the runway

Hang on. Today it was on the Stennis. Strange. Its almost invisible unless youre directly behind and zoomed in with low gamma.
