The FCS page on the DDI shows the position of all flight surfaces. You can set trim using that.

No. The Reset FCS does not reset the trim to zero while flying. If you move the trim left or right, the only way to get it back to zero is to move the trim manually. If you are asymmetrical due to loadout, and you trim to level flight, then you drop some the loadout, your trim will still be set for the asymmetry. You need to retrim again. If you are asymmetrical and jettison all your stores, you must retrim manually, as well. This, I would imagine is a DCS Hornet bug.

The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

Is it? There is no way to reset the left / right trim other than manually trimming?

Reads as if he was suggesting to press the T/O trim button, rather than the FCS reset button.

Thanks Guysthumbup.gif

To the OP - the T/O trim button does reset the trim to even/level.

Even though it’s a year old thread - valid tool/tip = use T/O TRIM button.
