I have access to 2 almost identical computer except the motherboard where one has a A320 chipset and the other is equipped with a B350 chipset.

CPU:Ryzen 3 1200 (stock speed)

Ram:8gig ddr4

Video card:Nvidia GTX1050 2gig

Windows and DCS World 2.5.2 installed on a SSD

in both machine.

One of them is a Windows7 64bit machine and the other is a Windows10 machine.

I used a a track recording of the same mission of medium complexity with AI

only unit.

To my surprise DCS World 2.5.2 run smoother with Windows10 (on AMD Ryzen hardware anyway)

Your experience may vary!

Hey, thanks for taking the time. These types of A-B comparisons are hard to come by. But it doesn't surprise me that much since I find Win10 smoother (as an OS) in almost every aspect. I love win7 too, but like Win10 a little more! :)

windows 10 is a pain in the ass, with the introduction of fall creators update , followed by spring update etc etc it created a lot of issues for gaming.....just google for it.....

with latest 1803 they introduced NIC dpc lag which still has to be fixed.

I used Win 10 Pro for three months and found the performance uneven .. sometimes Win 10 just stuck there doing nothing and using the whole RAM .. turned back to Win 8.1 Pro and couldnt be happier, got the same performance but without the hiccups of Win 10.

I hesitated a long time before installing Win 10 on my main machine but after 3 weeks i'm pleasantly surprised by Win10 (on my new Ryzen build anyway) its a fresh install of the april edition but all the monitoring (spying) has been removed with "O&O ShutUp10"

Only time will tell if i keep it.....

Yes Windows7 and DCS World is running an SSD

I suspect that the new memory memory manager introduced lately

in DCS is more effective with Windows 10 than Windows 7.

I also noticed less stutter when running DCS World with Windows 10

than Windows 7.

I actually did not like Windows 10 until now!

trying to stay with Windows7 for as long as possible.

So maybe after 2 years after its release Windows10 is finally good!
