capthaltli Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 Is it true that the only way to export the L and R DDIs to another monitor is to use Capt Zeen Helios? Or is their another way? [sIGPIC] "GOONIE" [/sIGPIC] "GOONIE" CSG-1 VFA-25
Habu_69 Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 DDI export is supported by latest OB update. All you need is appropriate MonitorSetup.lua.
Laidback Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 You don't actually use his helios profile but some of his files. Look at Gear Monkey's instructions. I followed them and it works. No Helios [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
POLARIS1 Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 First, go to his website and download the export.lua Why do you need the export.lua if you don't use Helios?
capthaltli Posted July 19, 2018 Posted July 19, 2018 Gear Monkey, how did you find the x and y values/locations so they fit in your MFDs? [sIGPIC] "GOONIE" [/sIGPIC] "GOONIE" CSG-1 VFA-25
Laidback Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Gear Monkey, how did you find the x and y values/locations so they fit in your MFDs? for me my values are as follows: Left x = 1950 y = 400 Right x = 3050 y = 400 AMPCD x = 2482 y = 572 You can start with those to see where they show on your setup. Then you can change the values until they are right where you want them. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
gear_monkey Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 Gear Monkey, how did you find the x and y values/locations so they fit in your MFDs? To be honest, I used the trial and error method. For me what worked the best is 411x411 for the DDI's and 420x420 for the AMPCD. aviramad Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Sorry for late reply, just saw this. By the way...all credit for this goes to Capt_Zeen over in the Input/Output section. First, go to his website and download the export.lua from this page: http://www.captzeen.com/helios/downloads.asp Second, go to this thread and look at post #24 from Capt_Zeen. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=210138&page=3 Download the "MonitorConfiguration Final.rar" file he has in his post and unzip it on your desktop. What I did was open my default DCS folder in one screen and then opened the unzipped rar file in another and opened Capt_Zeen's folder's to see what he had done. In my case the only things I wanted exported are the 2 DDI's and the AMPCD so I ignored the folders for the RWR and UFC, etc. So, in other words, I only ended up copying over his .lua files from: 1) Config -> MonitorSetup -> 2_monitors-FA18.lua 2) Mods -> aircraft -> FA-18C -> Cockpit -> Scripts -> Multipurpose_Display_Group Once you have those .lua's copied over to your DCS install folder, you have to open the 2_monitors-FA18.lua with Notepad++. Since I only wanted the DDI's and AMPCD, I deleted everything else in the lua and then changed the x and y values to move my exported screens to the location I wanted on the second monitor. by the way for me the DDI's fit perfect into the Thrustmaster MFD's with a size of 411x411. The MPCD i have at 512x512. Hope that helps and makes sense. It look very nice,:) but i have question if you can help i will appreciate it very much and i believe that many guys will appreciate it too. I am using three 42" screens for my mail display , and i would like to use additional 3 individual 8" screen that i plan to connect them via multi ports HDMI hub (in the HDMI free port of the 1080Ti GPU and out to 3 HDMI that be able to connect to the three 8" screens) to export the 2 DDI's and the AMPCD, can you instruct me which *.lua files i will need to modify or add ? My three main screens are looked as one screen of 5760 x 1080 and ocupited 3 DP of my 1080Ti and still have 1 HDMI free (which i intend to connect the HDMI multi port hub) and 1 DVI port. Thank in advance, Aviram_AD

Thank in advance, The 1080ti has a limit of 4 displays. What hub do you intend to buy? I think it would need to trick the computer into thinking it is driving one display with the resolution of 3 combined. Edited January 7, 2020 by jonsky7

Hi Jonsky7, Thank you for your reply :) I bought Hub that has one input port of HDMI (plan to connect it to the free HDMI port of my GPU) and 4 output ports of HDMI which I plan to connect it to the 3 8" screens that I would like to attached behind the 3 Trustmaster's MFD cougar.
