Hello,

 

i keep experiencing same issue. I set the carrier at 30 kts and once i landed the wind over the deck is so strong. Hornet keep producing lex vapor from wingtip and it is very hard to maneuver the plane.

 

Are you experiencing the same?

this is a known issue,

 

Currently it is best to set the carrier at a lower speed

Is the problem the same using 30kts wind and ship at stop?

Setting the carrier speed above 20kts will do this.

 

 

Set it to 18kts and you should be fine until a fix comes down the line.

Best thing to do, I've found, is to set carrier speed to 17-18 knots, and add wind over the deck (the angled deck, not the BRC) to 7-10kts to get a realistic wind speed.

As far as I understand it, the carrier never accelerates to 30kts anyway (unless there's an emergency), since the escorting ships won't be able to keep up.
