Did TACAN logic get changed again? Nothing from the Stennis

I'm having an issue with the Stennis TACAN. Set to 74X as I always do. Hopped in the jet and flew around, set HSI mode to TCN, got bearing information on my HUD heading tape, bearing degrees, identifier code, and "0.00nm" on my HSI, but absolutely nothing in my HUD. Switch over to Batumi TACAN and I get good DME and ID code. Switch over to KC130 TACAN and again get good DME and ID code. Back to Stennis TACAN and nada. No CRS info when I try to set a course line either. Didn't have this problem prior to update 6.

when you quit, save a .trk file and post it here. Others can replay it and help you out if you are doing something wrong.

In the advanced waypoint action set a command to enable TACAN. In the TACAN setting select the unit which I usually name it to Stennis.

Now multiple units in a group can have thier own TACAN ID and code.

That doesnt work, patch said so but didnt make it in.
Maybe. I didn't test it with multiple units in a group with different TCN. But now you have to select a unit in the TCN action. Because it happened with me as OP. I checked and found I didn't select a unit.

Selecting the Unit seemed to fix it. I had two other ships in the group as well.

It would have been nice to have that explained in the changelog.....

It was mentionned in the changelog that a different tacan can now be attributed to each units in a group.

ME. Ships. TACAN can be assigned to exact ship, not whole group.

That I don't know. Can't land a Hornet on destroyers so never bothered with them.

They just didn't think for the Hornet only, but Helicopters can also benefits from a Tacan to land on a ship with Helipad in the Carrier's Battle Group. so they want a Tacan to the Ship, not the carrier i presume. i think.

Yes, but didnt make in

Then i am confused, cuz Naelis said selecting the Unit worked for him, not the group. :)

EDIT: Actualy it does work, but only on carriers, if you make a group of 3 ships, 1 Stennis, 1 Tarawa and 1 Vinson, all 3 can have each a tacan, maybe the other ships just didn'T had it made it to yet though as only those 3 ships appears on the drop down menu on the Advanced Waypoint Actions in the Activate Tacan.

That was Update 5. My TACAN problems occurred after Update 6.

I don't believe we have any player-controllable helicopters that can use TACAN. I know for a fact the Huey and Hip don't have TACAN receivers.

Sad. :(

On my side i never encoutered any problem, as forces of habit i always selected the Carrier's in the group to set the Tacan, well to be honest, the Carrier was always the number one unit and alwayss elected unit #1, maybe that's why i never had what you had. Only time i had issues with Tacan was when i logged onto Apex server, for some reason once in a while the Tacan was just not registering and spining around. :)
