I would like to purchase a downloadable version of flaming cliffs, but I can't even download the demo, the server times out too busy. I'm not going to take the chance of purchasing it if I can even download what I purchased.

Yes CD is good.

You may also want to try amazon.com. they usually have good prices too. Flaming Cliffs there is only about $20 or so.

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

I do agree. Furthermore you haven't to get a new activation key when you change your hardware or the BIOS version of your hardware. So the CD Version is the best choice.

I think putting the CD in the tray (even once a week) is more "anoying" than reactivating once a year or so. Offcourse you need to save the activation registry (saved with the tool from the main site) and the files for instalation in a safe place.... like 2 DVDs :D but, it takes minutes to do... once a year.

...yes I have de DL version and is great.

FC was only $13.00 on CDrom from GoGamer.com, but that has been a while since I bought it.
