JG27_Arklight Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Launch date: May 25th (just in UK). http://vootatico.com/?p=596 Americans can get it from Gogamer.com (located in California, IIRC). I get all the games I want that are olny released in the UK (or released in the UK first) at Gogamer. Great service and prices. I already pre-ordered EECH2 from there in fact. :) Ark ------------------ Windows 10 Pro x64 9900K @ 5ghz Gigabyte Aorus Master Z390 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB CAS 14 EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Ultra XC2 256gb Samsung 869 Pro (Boot Drive) 1TB - Samsung 970 EVO Plus Seasoninc 1000w Titanium Ultra PSU 34" ASUS PG348
PythonOne Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 I don't get what does it mean when a game title goes gold, it doesn't improve the game does it? EECH2 should post more screenshots and game play videos. So far, most of the videos I've seen have that annoying voice, i hope we can't turn that off.
Prophet Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Gold means its the final version, and going to production. So once the CD/DVD's are made, they will be shipped.

Floyd Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Gold means its the final version, and going to production. So once the CD/DVD's are made, they will be shipped. I'll guess he meant the Gold titles that come as a re-package of older games, sometimes with an addon and up to date patches, like Lockon Gold. This "Gold" is just a trick to get the customers attention ...
suntrace1 Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 This is 21st Century and they still market with a pot of gold, like in the Middle ages. Why don't they call them Bling or Ice versions. Don't steal my pot of gold
Crusty Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Good news indeed oo err...missus:animals_bunny: ** Anti-Pastie**
Ven Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Gone gold is term used by every game developer. It means the software has been delivered to be put on CD/DVD and packaged. I wouldn't say gond gold means it's finished since they're almost always followed by series of patches. Once it's shipped, they say it's released... or launched. This sometimes gets people confused especially on console patforms because games appear on store shelves couple days after launch date. People expect to buy the games on launch date not considering the shipping time. Oh, and I believe... and it's just my guess... they call it gone gold because it's ready to rake in money.
suntrace1 Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 I believe it's because the CD mold is goldish color. My remark was aimed at Lomac Gold CD version.
