TheProphet Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Beautiful! I hope that ED will program those heli beasts with a great AI as they should have. Let's be patience and give ED as much time as they need (but don't take to many ED;)) to make BS as best as they can, BS is gonna rock! 6700K | ASUS Z170 | 32GB RAM | GTX 680 | 850EVO

VMFA117_Poko Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 WOW! This Apache is so ugly... as beautifull. Good work
Shaman Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Oh my, look at all those Hellfires... Yeah, exactly. Actually do they really load them with 16 Hellfires during true combat mission? I highly doubt it. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
Sundowner.pl Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Hope ED won't forget ADU-299 adapters with LAU-7 launchers for AH-1W, AH-64 and SH-60s and few other if they will be added ;) About flying with 16 hellfires: its the same as with flying with stingers and sidewinders - it's a case of need. The Apache never had to fight without total air dominance so they never go into combat with their stingers, or sidewinders under/on their wings. And they never fight with such great number of tanks per one Apache that they needed more than eight AGM-114s for a mission. VMFA117_Poko Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Yeah, exactly. Actually do they really load them with 16 Hellfires during true combat mission? I highly doubt it. I saw pics of AH-64 from Desert Storm with 16 Hell's loaded. Probably it is depended on task and number of crafts involved in it.

JaNk0 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 First i want to say is awesome pictures! Secondly i have a question. Does the IR move in same direction when pilot and/or gunner moves their helmet-mounted sight? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Sundowner.pl Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Yes, both IR cams - one in PNVS (top turret) one in TADS (lower turret) can move with crew heads - both have ability to chose the sensor. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "If a place needs helicopters, it's probably not worth visiting." - Nick Lappos
thereminqblank Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Yeah, exactly. Actually do they really load them with 16 Hellfires during true combat mission? I highly doubt it. I think I remember reading somewhere that it only really carries 16 Hellfires for transport purposes. Can someone anyone confirm this. A quick google came up with naught. thereminqblank Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Hehe, this was in an article from 2001: The AH-64D Longbow Apache attack helicopter currently costs about $3,400 an hour to fly and a full load of 16 Hellfire missiles is priced at about $2 million. VMFA-Blaze Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Yeah These screenies are very nicely detailed But I just zoomed in on the scenery and guess what it still looks the same as it did.. :D The same transparent two dimensional trees with the same tenement or project looking buildings with outside tv antennas...:dunno: I guess this is going to be it ..... Anyway to do a fix on this stuff will most likely increase the wait time for a gold release... And we'll probably need the next generation of Star Wars PC to run it.. Lets just get the game without any show stoppers.... Blaze intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
Sundowner.pl Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 We are already waiting long for that add on, so I think waiting longer for a polished version is doable from our side. The question is: is it doable to change the way buildings and trees perform in this sim from ED's side? VMFA-Blaze Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Yes I'm sure that it is, but I think that were going to have to wait untill they release the new game engine... ~S~ Blaze intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR

Highwayman-Ed Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 ED - You HAVE to make the AH-64 flyable, I don't care if it's only the A model so you don't have to program the radar, but please, please, please make it flyable, it's just too good of a model not to.... Please... Go on... You know you want to! Intel i9-9900KF @5.2GHz MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon 32GB G.Skill Trident Z DDR3200 RAM MSI RTX 2080 Ti Gaming X Trio 40" Panasonic TH-40DX600U @ 4K Pimax Vision 8K Plus / Oculus Rift CV1 / HTC Vive Gametrix JetSeat with SimShaker Windows 10 64 Bit Home Edition [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
VMFA117_Poko Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Unfortunatelly You can't count on it. They told they won't make any two-seater aircrafts flyable.
