As some of you might have seen on the mission editing sub-forum, I 'm having trouble with the civil aircraft mod (CAM) in my Steam version of dcs.

Installed/copied the files and all seem to be working in the standalone version (which as you know ises the same "saved games" folder). In the Steam version though, the mod ain't working. Keeps giving me a message the CivilAircraftMod is missing..

Anyone have any idea what might solve this? Or is it a known issue that unofficial mods don't work well in combination with Steam?

i have steam an the civil aircraft mod. all worked like a charm.

maybe your instal path is false. pls show it maybe i can help you

You mean the install path of the civil aircraft mod?

I'm not behind my own pc right now, so can't copy the exact path from here, but it's something like: ...//saved games/dcs world/mods

Anyhow, it seems I installed the CAM files in the correct location, because it's all working in the standalone version. That's why I think it must be a Steam thing..

I know this is an old post, but I still cannot after the 10000th time trying putting this in a handfull of different folders get this mod to work on steam... I've been flying dcs since 2014 and installed loads of mods. This is the one I want and have tried multiple times over a span of years.

Can someone with dcs on steam and this mod please help?

The first thing you must do is make sure which folder your DCS is using for saving. Probably the easiest way of determining this is using the Mission Editor and click on "My Missions", like this:

You can see that my Steam DCS uses this path for saving: \Saved Games\DCS\

So, you place the Mod on that path, like this:

... of course, once on the DCS save folder, the Mod goes onto \Mods\aircraft\

And voila:

Thx for the responce,

But this is the problem, I have 2 dcs folders in my saved games folder (probably from years ago before I went open beta) but it doesn't matter where I put it. It just does not want to work...

I tried this troughout the years on different builds but cannot get it to work. I have included a screenshot from my file structure, maybe you guys notice something stupid I am doing wrong (shure hope so)

I just don't get why it works for other people and not for me...3ib23Ce
