Charlie-1 Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 (edited) I've spent a good few days working to improve depth of shadowing in the Spitfire's cockpit, which to me was especially weird in VR. Charlie-1 Posted December 31, 2018 Author Posted December 31, 2018 I dont see a difference. Side by side pictures between default and this? I've attached 3 pictures below; the first is of a real MkV cockpit I took in December (with a flash unfortunately), the second is the DCS original and third is my personal version. Take a look at the shadows in the foot well, floor and legibility of the gauges..hopefully you will see the differences:) Intel Core i3 8350K 4GHz, MSI RTX 2080 Super, AS Rock Z370 Pro4 Motherboard, Samsung SSD, 32G DDR4 RAM, Windows 10 PRO 64 Bit Rift-S, Tripple Samsung 27" C27F Display, Hotas Warthog, Saitek Pro Flight rudder pedals, EDtracker, Track IR.

Charlie-1 Posted January 1, 2019 Author Posted January 1, 2019 Great mod. Thanks for sharing it. Looks much better in VR. Thanks and no worries Bart...The previous 'surreal' look in VR was the motivator for doing the mod.. Intel Core i3 8350K 4GHz, MSI RTX 2080 Super, AS Rock Z370 Pro4 Motherboard, Samsung SSD, 32G DDR4 RAM, Windows 10 PRO 64 Bit Rift-S, Tripple Samsung 27" C27F Display, Hotas Warthog, Saitek Pro Flight rudder pedals, EDtracker, Track IR.

REDEYE_CVW-66 Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Having tested this a bit- I love the high contrast on the panels, however, the green in the cockpit is more like the green in American fighters, while the spits usually were much brighter, as pr default textures. If you could compromise these, I think it would be an overall improvement.
