Hey!

I'm using a X55 Rhino with a pretty good working Toggle for it. Uncertain what type joystick or HOTAS you are using but the X55 Rhino throttle has got a slider on it near your thumb which I have set for Trigger safety cover up/down (can't remember the correct name for it now, will check when I get home).

Can't seem to upload an image for you though to show it... :(

However, even though I have the slider for it I mainly use the stick button by my thumb to active trigger up/down, it's in such a good place that it's as fast and easy to use and I don't forget it up (or down) when I need it. Just press hold then squeeze trigger and release, before that I had a different button for it which was hard to reach and threw off my aim in a really bad way so totally understand your request.

Regards

Thank you all for the suggestions. I'm using a CH products HOTAS which doesn't have a two-stage trigger. Right now I use a button on top to open the safety and the bottom pinkie button to close it. I would like to be able to use the upper button (or any single button) as a toggle instead of two button for that function. Probably would have to be a thing Heatblur would add.

Just use your button on top as "hold" function? Thats what I'm doing, works perfect.

I know that's an option but it's a little ungainly for me. I honestly have enough buttons on my stick for the Viggen. It's one of those things that would be convenient and make it a toggle button so it functions like the lever in the cockpit.

Not sure if you all mean the same thing when you say "toggle". According to Wikipedia it can mean a maintained switch (for lighting ON/OFF), and it can refer to a momentary switch (like the Bit switches on the good old minicomputers).

Anyway, I use the EAC switch on my TM WH throttle and that works fine for me.

By toggle I mean you press and release one button to open the safety and it stays open. Then you press and release the same button and it closes the safety.

I think you are going to have to look into the code for the switch you are trying to toggle and customize it that way.

I have looked at the code and the lever in the cockpit. It can be used with a single maintained ON/OFF switch like the EAC switch on the TM WH throttle (hold) or with 2 pushbuttons for the commands ON resp. OFF. I see no way to make it a toggle command.

He wants a toggle, you are telling him that you use the momentary.

Bones: Whats your HOTAS? I have now a quite good working layout for the T16000 if you're interested...

Sorry to butt-in but if you have a T1600 layout for the AJS37 I'd definitely be interested if you could upload it somewhere
