jef32 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Hi I've created some static templates sceneries but some need to have several default object deleted to replace them by objects that I want. So,I've done a trigger to delete these objects.I've created zones where the default objects inside are deleted then I've done this trigger: ( start mission, unit (myself) alive, deleting object zone (all) in the trigger zones I've done. But the deleting objetcs zones and this trigger aren't saved in the static templates I've done. Is it a way to include them in a template for other missions or would I have to re-create them with each new missiion? Thanks ! Is it a way to include them in a template for other missions or would I have to re-create them with each new missiion? Unfortunately, the Static Templates only store the Units (planes, ships, armor, etc) and any Static Object that you've placed on the Map .. nothing else, so the Trigger Zones are not stored on the Static Templates. But at least the ST stores all features of each Unit: its livery, its waypoints, even its radio frequencies. I used this last feature to create a ST with one aircraft of each type, marked late activation, with pre-configured Radio Presets .. this allows me to define a General Frequency Plan, say 250.5 is AWACS; 251.5 is Tanker 1, etc. Then, when I create a new Mission, I load the ST and then copy the template unit of the type I need and paste it to create the real units that I will use on the Mission ... each one of these aircrafts will have its radio presets according to my Frequency Plan :) cool :D Let's hope that ED will expand the Static Template feature and allow for trigger zones to be included. shagrat Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Thanks for your answer. It's not possible. It's too bad !The static template is to save and later load predefined scenarios. You can save multiple static templates with your adapted/deleted units, for example. You can also combine smaller static templates and load them into your mission one by one. There is also the option to use the mission generator, add your own templates to the template list, define battle groups and such, create a combat environment from the templates with the mission generator and add one or more static templates ( e.g. Carrier Group, Airport surrounding with Air defense, a SAM screen for an area...). Keep in mind to create the battle with the mission generator first and add static templates and other units after that, as the mission generator creates a new mission! Static templates though or the single templates, can be loaded into an existing mission. If you want randomisation, a simple but limited option is the random factor for each group. Another option, if your triggers randomise the environment, is to use a Lua script to do the random deletion.Though that requires a bit of learning Lua mission scripting engine for DCS. Yet this can be very helpful with creation of dynamic mission environment.
