jef32 Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Hi A problem has been reported with the Huey missing textures in the beta version. You have updated the release without fixing the issue before. So, tell me where is the utility of the Beta if you add known issues from the beta towards the release before fixing them ? DD_Fenrir Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 The point of the Open Beta is to: 1a. Push test builds to a vastly wider range of testers so as to test the stability of the software on a correspondingly vastly wider array of differing hardware configurations than the development team can hope to achieve in house 1b. With a wider variety of users comes a player base who will test a wider range of scenarios in which bugs could be hidden that could take months if not yaers for a small team to find 2. establish if any game breaking bugs are found that seriously inhibit play prior to push to Stable release. 3. Establish any cosmetic bugs that are a visual distraction but do not prevent users from running the game that can be fixed after any bugs with systems or functionality are corrected. Prioritisation means - correctly, IMHO - that any cosmetic bugs can get pushed to stable in the interest of pushing new and often in demand content to the wider community.

But I've read that the bug is fixed in internal. Why not having fixed it with the stable update since they already have the fix ? There was that time a few months ago when they pushed game-breaking bugs from Beta to Stable. Stable is just a delayed Beta now.
