Cytt0rak Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Title. Right now manual waypoint additions are not precise enough because of coordinates type.
FalcoGer Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 I suppose 1 second is ~100ft. Surely precise enough for a waypoint or target area. But for standoff weapons you'd need something a bit more precise I suppose.

But for standoff weapons you'd need something a bit more precise I suppose. The waypoints we can add right now are not accurate enough for a pinpoint bombing run (might be something to do with some bugs already reported), and I think that's what OP is talking about. Precise waypoint entry mode, MGRS, and O/S WP are going to make bombing a lot more convenient, and I hope we hear more about those feature's development in the future.
EcceHomo Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 In the JDAM manual, you can enter Degrees, Minutes, Seconds, Hundredths of Seconds. In 2001, the minimum CEP of JDAM was 13 meters.
Freeroamer Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Remember we're getting a 2006/2007 Hornet.
EcceHomo Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 APG-65 MRSAR with AV-8B+has a precision of 30 ft, and APG-73 Upgrade Phase I has no ability to input coordinates to JDAM.
