[CANT REPRODUCE] HUD glasses thickness come and go

Recommended Posts

I noticed that the HUD glasses thickness disappears and pop up again.

edit: It seems to be related to the rain droplets option. Maybe it's already been reported.

I have seen this as well. I think it has to do with shadows. Notice in your first pic, due to the sun position, the underside of the edges of the glass have a shadow. Where as your second, up and to the left there is none.

May toy with that and see if it is consistent by changing where the sun is in relation to the HUD glass edges.

I tried with and without rain droplets and I am not seeing a difference, both look good to me. Perhaps supply a track where you see it and I can view that.

This was first reported 6.6.2018 here:

https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=211742

That is a merged thread of two reportings that got marked the same like this thread [CANT REPRODUCE] even though many guys could reproduce this and posted screenshots and i uploaded a video also.

Here are a couple more screenshots, including my settings. I also attach a simple mission file and a track file, it is 100% reproducible, just put in some clouds, activate rain and fly below a cloud(in its shadow/rain) and you see this "jumping" effect on your HUD, like in the video in the linked thread above(page2). If you don't activate rain in the ME and just fly below the clouds nothing strange happens with the HUD.

If I play the attached track with "Rain droplets" active I see glasses with no thickness but sometimes it reappears.

The weird thing is each time I play the track, the scenario is different, the on and off thickness state never occur at the same timing but it's always off at the start.

I have no problem with this track and "Rain droplets" inactive

Was able to replicate multiple times in one mission... if you point right at the sun you will see it jump from no thickness back to default. Below is my track file and if you watch it I go from default to no thickness several times throughout the flight.
