knightal Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 (edited) Hi Just went to play one of the missions in the A-10C and I cannot click on any of the controls IE MFCD buttons, switches, radio switches and dials. I have the small yellow cross but it is not changing to the green icon to allow me to interact with any controls. I'm using the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS. both stick and throttle controls appear to be OK. I notice that in the "CONTROL SETUP" page that the option for A-10C SIM has gone and there are two options for the A-10C these being "A-10C REAL" and A-10C GAME" but no A-10C SIM Has there been an update or something as I never had the "A-10C REAL" option before? I could however click the switches in one of the A-10C training modes. Any advise on this would be appreciated as I cannot fly my A-10C in this state. :pilotfly: Edited February 3, 2019 by knightal spelling
Yurgon Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Sometimes I observed similar behavior where the cursor would not indicate any clickable action, however it worked just fine despite the cursor remaining the yellow pointing cross. If that's not it, I'd try to rename Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\A-10C and check if the problem goes away.
Shadow KT Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 (edited) SIM and REAL are pretty much the same thing.... (they just changed the name for what I know.... if you had SIM controls, they should have became into REAL) Are sure you are not pressing right control + c ? Because I believe that disables the clicking in favor of being able to look around the cockpit with the mouse Edited February 3, 2019 by Shadow KT 'Shadow' Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days
Emmy Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Also, if you have two monitors and you do something on the other one, (scroll a flight plan, etc.) then your mouse is inactive on your “cockpit” until you click somewhere to “wake it up” again. Good point. But it's kinda important to note that any click into the DCS monitor will still be registered by DCS immediately. I once had an engine shutting down for no apparent reason, thinking it must have been a random failure, so I went full alert mode, realized I couldn't even maintain alt with all the stuff hanging from the wings and all the fuel in the tanks, so I hit emergency jettison over a wooded area, told my wingman to stay close, and went for an immediate landing at my alternate (Creech, right at my 3 o'clock). It wasn't until a minute or two later that I examined the jet and realized I'd pulled the left engine T-handle after coming back from clicking a PDF file on the second monitor...

Was curious about the SIM and REAL control option.

Shadow KT Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 SIM is just named REAL now. 'Shadow' Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days
