Thanks for the manual... I'm getting strange looks in the office as people walk by!

 

Would it be possible to ask Iceman to fly an orbit, or racetrack so we can not worry about ending up over Tehran when learning to RIO?

Manual say Iceman will be available in singleplayer.

Does it mean that when flying in multiplayer but not in multicrew Iceman won't be available and we will be stuck in front cockpit ? I hope not...!

This I am curious of as well. As it would make things like TGP target finding nearly impossible without a human RIO in multiplayer. Also being limited to only Jester would likely limit the number of radar tricks one can pull.

When in multiplayer you will not be able to move between the front and back seats.

If it's true that's disappointing... For many reasons as said above by Hyena. An other exemple: to teach a friend RIO cockpit use, everyone in his own tomcat and both can look at the RIO cockpit at the same time.

 

It's possible in huey, Mi-8 and L-39, why not in tomcat ?

It's not possible in the L-39, you can't swap seats. And the only reason you can swap seats in the huey and Mi8 is because multi-crew isn't in place for them yet.

Arf... It's on ED side so... I really hope this will change in a near future. It shouldn't be very hard to code something like "if player is single in multiplayer so singleplayer behaviour is true". Or an option to tick in ME. ^^

May we have an official statement about inability to switch from pilot to RIO when flying alone in multiplayer ?

 

Is it a technical limitation and why ? From your side ? From ED side (so we have to lobby them to work on it) ?

 

Or is it a deliberate choice and why ?

 

I know many people who are concerned about it too.

Its a technical limitation of how Multicrew works.

 

May I suggest you find somebody to be your pilot/RIO so you can actually make a real team in MP. Its much more fun that way anyway.

I already have a human RIO ready to jump in my backseat. :thumbup:

 

I request it for when I want to fly alone on MP public servers when my mate is missing or for instruction purpose.
