Ok...

So where is everyone mapping their VR zoom button on a warthog?

I've had it as the TDC slew depress, but its getting annoying to use since I always end up slewing the TDC. Any suggestions?

I have mine mapped to the little, silver toggle switch on the outboard side of the left throttle lever. Forward is for VR zoom, and backward is for VR view centering. That works pretty well for me since its not a switch that has a real-world function on the HOTAS.

Use the pinky lever on the stick as a modifier and you’ve now just doubled the amount of buttons available to you. Lever+China hat forward is my VR zoom. Lever+landing gear silence button is my landing gear up/down. Possibilities are endless, well... almost.

I was thinking about remapping it to that. But it seemed awkward. I like the re-center on back too. I'll probably try that if it seems to work for at least 2 other people.

Thats my backup binding actually (pinki + trim fwd). But I can't use the modifier lever always since I'm usually going hands off either the stick or throttle to flip a switch. Its fine for looking around though.

I use pinky switch on throttle (external lights on A10). Easy to turn on/off, and zoom stays on without the need to hold something. Great for guns/rockets/CCIP runs.

Yup, this key is the winner! Works great, and while I thought I wouldn't like the permanent on feature its actually much more usable than holding down a button.
