lancerr Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Way too many out of date threads are still up there. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
SonofEil Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Man I’ve been wanting to post this forEVER! What is there, 20, wait no, nearly 30 sticky’s up there, two thirds of which are no longer relevant? Like why is ralfi’s livestream a sticky? How about combining all those random updates into one locked sticky that only HB can touch (as has been suggested multiple times)! HB, clean your room!! i7 7700K @5.0, 1080Ti, 32GB DDR4, HMD Odyssey, TM WH, Crosswind Rudder...
fl0w Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 +1. A new sub forums called "Announcements" would really be nice. :)
Eldur Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 I literally asked for that here by saying we don't have enough yet, I mean it's 27 already vs. 20 regular threads per page Proposal: Make a thread "Development Updates", lock it and put links to all the past updates that are sticky or not ("Let there be thrust" for one isn't up there) Have the 3-5 most recent ones up there as well, but clean up as soon as new stuff comes by then unpinning them and adding links to the mentioned above. At the same time that thread can be used just like Wags' "Hornet Mini Updates" one
ryanyomomma Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 I personally would also like to see locked-out stickies of relevant updates, kinda like the single mini-update thread that Wags does on the Hornet forum. I think stickied posts about updates are useless when you don't lock the posts out. I mean, look at the chaos on the status update sticky? lol Status updates should just be that: status updates. I'm sure people here are more than willing to create a thread to discuss the updates.. Shoot2maim Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 My apologies for resurrecting the thread. I thought it was better than opening a new one, however. But once the Tomcat is releases could you clean it up a bit more and remove some of the other stickies? Stuff like the tips, tutorials, and manual are all very useful, but some of them like the "F-14 Status update", "Pre-order now available", "New trailer" and all of the other video and hype threads seem like they will no longer be necessary post-release. A lot of the comments for said threads also seem to generally have become rather toxic as well, and I doubt leaving them around will be very constructive. And seeing as release will probably mean more announcement threads, it might be a good idea to have room for stuff like EA updates. In any case, thanks!
fl0w Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Just bumping the thread. (Really hoping Godblur Cobra sees this!) +1. A new sub forums called "Announcements" would really be nice. :)
