Yes, some additions is promised beside fixes.

Perhaps further improvements on the LTWS, DL and auto IFF.

We will see when we get the update.

In wags new podcast that is a few days old he spoke about what is next for the f18.

 

In the near future..: ( my guess 0 - 2 month )

First they will finish the Harm system ( prebrief mode, pullback mode ) ect.

 

After that they finish the data link and then the devs will be moved fulltime to finish the TGP system.

 

AFter that the TGP targeting pod will be implemented.

 

( my guess in 2-4 month )

Full ins, gps, deepdive.

A/G radar, slam, walleye, jsow, jdam ( guess anti ship missiles as well )

 

 

PS. personlay though i hope to get the TGP soon so we can lase targets our self, and see the enemy on the ground.

It will be very handy.

Some selective reading going on in this thread. Wags has clearly stated we'll be getting some additions along with the bugfixes - we just don't know what those additions are. He's previously indicated that JDAM & LTWS were next on the implementation list along with the Mission Card; I doubt we'll get all of these, but let's just wait and see - and more importantly, read.

 

He already listed IFF additions as being ready for the next update - e.g. adding the caret to the HUD diamond for a hostile. There are lots of ways to read that sentence, it doesn't mean people can't read or that we're getting LTWS / JDAMs / Mission Card.
