I noticed that they used a VA profile in the Episode 3:cold and dark startup video. Is there anyway we can get that profile? I saw quite a few people requesting it on the youtube channel, but haven't found anything in the search on here or google, other than Chaser's profile, which I am trying out now.

A starting baseline would be nice. I have no experience with VA, but is it as simple as binding key command to a set of words? How does the jester menu work with this? Can I have a set of words that macros through the relevant options? Or is there a keybind directly for things like lock TWS target 1?

I'll be more then happy to VA profile

Ok, here is the VoiceAttack Profile that I personally use and have been working on for the past few days. Thanks to iceman14555 here, I was able to solve a few problems with the Jester Menu Logic. Basically "Can VA know when you are in a Jester Contextual menu vs the Jester Main menu?" I hope I was able to solve that answer.

Say "Hey Jester" to get to the contextual menu (the first one that pops up when you press A by default).

Say "Jester" to get to the Jester Main menu. (The second menu that pops up when you press A again).

You can also say "Nevermind" to close the menu.

For starting the plane you have a few different options, as you may know.

1. Auto start. Easy day

2. Normal Start. Also pretty straight forward.

3. Assisted Start. The most fun of them all.

For all of the starts the commands such as "Loud and Clear" and "Check" will work all the way through the startup procedure. When you get to the alignment part of any of the three starts, you can use the VA profile to tell Jester how fine/coarse you want the alignment. You can just say any one of the options without even opening the menu yourself. If you are like me, I cant remember the options, so I just say "Hey Jester" (wait for the Rose Dial to show up) "INS go now". That is all there is to it! Please let me know how it goes.

I was going to just give you the startup commands, but I'll just go ahead and give y'all my personal profile as of this post. You will see almost 600 commands for the F-14 in there. Don't get overwhelmed! Start small. Ask around if you have any questions. I might have an answer and feedback is always appreciated.

Hi guys. I'm using Voice Attack to answer the Jest checklist verification but I don't know how can I call the crew on the ground to start the Ground power unit and the air supply or call the tower to get the clearance to startup/taxi/takeoff...

Could someone help me, please. I'll be very happy!!

What you would do is set up a voice command called "Chief, connect ground air supply". In that command you would have to do Press Key commands to get him to do that. So in that case it would be something like Press \, Press F7, Press F4, etc (dont do that, it isnt right, just giving an example). My VA profile in included above has those commands if you want to check it out. I did it in a different way that isn't easy to follow. I made commands for each layer of the ground comm menu and then when going deeper into the menu i called the commands instead of the F keys.

That's awesome, I'll give it a try, by the way does it work with VIACOM Pro? I literally just started using Voice Attack last night and have yet to get it to work, so hopefully I can figure it out.

Will this work if you use Track Ir for Jester otherwise?

I do not know if it will work with Viacom pro. I am optimistic, but I do not have it, so I can not test it out.

So it works, however, there is something in the profile that is causing my radio menu to keep popping up constantly. It's really annoying. I am going to try the startup profile you made and see if that fixes it.

That was recently known to be a VIACOM issue. Check out the VIACOM thread for a solution.

Well I have VA and Viacom and seem to  have it all working, but when I say Jester or Hey jester I get the click and the sound of the menu rose but no menu rose.

Any ideas?

You won't see the jester wheel any more, that's what vaicom is for. For the few things you still need it for, like input waypoints and stuff, the command is "Jester options"

Just options opens the comm menu. Jester tells vaicom to wait for an order (the beep)

Understand about the Jester wheel.. I don't get it even with Jester Options. It will show up one time but not the next. Sometimes I get the rose with just jester, sometimes I get the options most of the time  I just get the click and the noise until I say never mind. It might work with the release version but not the bata, then it doesn't work in either one. So not sure what I am doing wrong.
