I'd say most of these are just constructive criticism This. The sounds are pretty unacceptable at the present, but how much of that is due to the bug? Best to save judgment until all effects are corrected. Reformers hate him! HWasp Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 I would consider steali... khm copying parts of the M2000C external soundset for the 21 as it is the best pre- F-18 external fighter sound in game. That one even features that characteristic boom as burner ignites (at least the 21s I've seen flying had that boom, but may have been a maintenance issue) For me the most important general external sound characteristic of a jet fighter is that ground shaking thunder. This is not an airliner or an A-10... comeon give us some proper fighter jet noise! :)

Mig Fulcrum Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 (edited) I haven't touch the mig for a while but yesterday i noticed there are almost no sounds (F2 view), i can hear the wind and the after burner when engaged but in idle position it is VERY quiet. I hope the new sounds will come soon because this plane is so fun, it's a shame the sounds are complitely broken. (After burner flame has also disappear) Edited June 28, 2019 by Mig Fulcrum

Frag Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 (edited) Wow that is ironic. I finally decided to buy the Mig 21 during the sale and immediately noticed the quiet / weird external sound. I came back to the forum to ask questions about it and stumbled on this. Do not get me wrong, this module is a blast. I love everything about that module. For a 5 year olds plane, it is a total masterpiece. I love the internal sound by the way!!! Magnitude, refresh that aircraft! It is so fantastic. Flying this thing can give you shivers!! Here are my commenys so far: - Redesign the external sounds. Few good clips were linked in this thread for references. Yes they need some works compared to the newer modules. - Refresh the cockpit a bit. Great aircraft guys, the mig 21 is a classic and will have a long life in DCS if you keep it fresh.
