I love to fly the 25 and 25T online. Thing is most A2G maps dont have the targets in your Flight PC. As I spot a convoy and attack it I lose track are sight of it. Question how do you guys keep track of the targets visually or do you use any of your gauges to help you out? I try to use my camera but most of the time Im pointing in the wrong direction to spot them.:helpsmilie::book:

Once you have spotted the Target, first take note of the Heading you are Flying when you commence your Attack Run - for Arguments sake I am flying Heading 040 with the Target at my 12.

Once Target engaged and neutralized, Break Left/Right 180 degrees (Add to Original Heading will give you 220) - Ensure your Break angle is constant during turn (Usually 60 Degrees for me) and level out at 220.

Extend/Gain Altitude for a wee while and when ready Re-Engage: Now if you Broke left originally, Break left again at same angle (60 Degrees Bank) and level out at 040 which should bring you back on Target again with the Target on your 12, ready for the next Attack-Run..........Rinse and Repeat :)

Now what if the target is moving

Unless they doing more than 100kmh, they'll not have gone too far.

It's even easier when they are travelling on a road.

Just note your heading and add 180 degrees and never hurts to extend your egress a bit. It gives your lasers time to cool.

Ok I kind of got it but where im getting confuse is the heading numbers. Ok you say to add 040 to 180 and you get 220 and thats where I go. But what its a bearing of 210 do I still add it to 180 and if so I get 390 so on the heading tape is that 090?

Well, it would be 390-360=30 degrees. So the heading would be 30 degrees. Better to do this. If your heading is 180 or less, then add 180. If it is 181 or greater, then subtract 180. And as a practical matter, I round the numbers. For example, if my heading is 272, I'd round it to 270 before subtracting. That's still puts me close enough to find them.

Update!

Tried it and it work perfectly =)

Now only if I can put R77 on my T to get rid of those pesky A10 pilots. =/

Better yet, put your Vikhrs in their cockpits. :) They are unescapable assuming you have the A-10 locked.

Update:

Try it with the Su 25 and it just aint happening lol! The 25T has that hud but the 25, man I dont have tack ir so looking at the gauges and watching where you are going is a pain. Man I dont know how those pilots did it back in the day.

A quick Glance to your HSI will give you your Bearing - once you have that you'll be OK as you'll no Doubt have your Head in the Cock-Pit watching that AoA and ADI whilst Breaking Left and Extending in any event. Coupled with the HSI - no real need for the HUD insofar as the above-mentioned procedure is concerned.

You give yourself too little Credit ;) With practice you'll be doing it at a glance in no time - with the added advantage of getting to know the Instruments a little better, which is always a Good thing :)

There's also the KEYPAD_0 that I use all the time for a heads-down cockpit view. Even though I've got TrackIR, I occasionally use it.

CHeck the guides in my sig.

 Oh now Ironhand teach these kids some old school the 25T has the speed advantage and you can see the A-10s for 16 miles due to the old CMD model . Go for guns boys and let the A-10 boy have a fighting chance that all he has to work with due to your Ir protection and porked Aim 9s:pilotfly:But if you must make a quick kill at range where an A-10 pilot will probably never see you go a head and use you laser guided Vikhrs but what fun is it to shoot fish in a barrel

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

I know this isn't very relaistic (because it would expose you to AAA), but after attacking a target, I simply pull up into a loop to reverse course - works a treat in the A-10. The 25 is a bit more difficult because it tends to roll off the heading as it slows.
