I've tried to replay some flights with the F-14 and its not in sync with what happened on the flight. Just wondering if its the F-14 module or something with DCS.

Has anyone had an accurate playback on flights with the F14, or is it just me?

I had very few issues with tracks in the F/A-18. They would for the most part play back ok most of the time. I have yet to get even one track from the F-14 to even be close to what actually transpired in the flight...

Same here, the Hornet replays seemed to work without a problem. I watched tracks that were upto an hour long without incident. Since the Tomcat they're never what actually happened during the flight, even watching the same replay gives different results.

It's a great feature to have, when it works

Fa18 is the only track that works out of all of the planes I have looks to me that Ed is looking after their own

I've read somewhere here that you must play the track in mission editor, which is in most case true for Harrier, seems not the case for the cat tho.

I've been here since day one and I don't know that tracks ever worked.

Fa18 is the only track that works

Not if you're playing back carrier ops it doesn't.

Yes, I've had 'working' playbacks flying the F-14. Whether you'd consider them good is relative - the most important thing to consider is if the track is from the same DCS version, after that it's their length or if any time acceleration or pauses were made during the game or playback. Although tracks use the same RNG seed, precise gun/missile damage can differ in the replays.

I checked a airspawn MP track from 2.5.4.29585 Open Beta and it was valid for the first 30 minutes, after which a couple of missiles may have missed (due to chaff) in the replay that hit in play.

The F-14 pilot's control, head motion, radar/camera modes, etc. were still good but in other modules, it's easy for low level flight though valleys, etc. to eventually result in ground collision in a replay.

Some modules are sensitive to whether a FFB was used or is enabled i.e. if I view a Huey replay and the originator didn't have a FFB stick, it's important I disable FFB in settings, if it's to playback correctly.

YMMV
