Nealius Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 When looking at real-world photos of A-10 training loads, I see a mix of TGM-65D in green and TGM-65G/K/H (or CATM, not sure why the inconsistency in nomenclature) in gray. In DCS this used to also be the case: The TGM-65D was green just like its live counterpart. Now, however, it is gray just like all the other inert Maverick variants, and I am unable to recreate the mixed training loads as depicted in real life. When and why did the TGM-65D coloration change?
eaglecash867 Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 AFAIK, the only color that's relevant on the various AGM/TGM variants is the color of the stripe. I go back far enough to remember some inert AGM-65Ds being painted a bright metallic blue, but they always had a blue stripe instead of a yellow one. Nealius Posted May 1, 2019 Author Posted May 1, 2019 I've been looking for more references and noticed that a lot of modern pics of TGM-65Ds (or what appears to be Deltas) have green bodies and gray noses. Obviously the blue stripe indicates TGM/CATM, but that's besides the point. The point is the body color. I want green.
Snoopy Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 I was going to do another repaint mod based on various training mavs at Moody for the new models but can seem to get motivated. v303d Fighter Group Discord | Virtual 303d Fighter Group Website
Snoopy Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 I did one but it I removed it from the 476th downloads section when the new models were introduced. v303d Fighter Group Discord | Virtual 303d Fighter Group Website
Nealius Posted May 3, 2019 Author Posted May 3, 2019 Ah, didn't realize the Mavs got updated models. I guess I never used them that much haha.

Snoopy, your weapon mods are what really brought life to the A10c for me, and would love to see updated models for DCS 2.5 if you ever get motivated!
