Thanks Philstyle...I agree the radio is annoying - and how much does it actually add to the mission, incorrect accents notwithstanding?

Fortunately, one of the video viewers (Thomas Palmar) has suggested a way tot run off the anoying chatter via theis:

in the main game settings (can't recall which tab) find an option called "Allied Flight Reports" and ensure it's unticked

So fo the next video we won't have to put up with the ridiculous radio noise.

Still that doesn't silence the sightings by the wingmen. Like bandit, air defence and so on. And all in the unfitting American accent of course.

Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.

True, switching the radio off deals with the rest. which is a shame becasue the briefing instructs the player to use the radio... but if the AI is going to make such poor use of the radio then I'd rather have it off.

ED don't seem at all interested in dealing with this problem, I've commented on it before in my videos on the Epsom Campaign... it's just another DCS WW2 problem that seems to take second seat.

The latest update tells us where WW2 sits in the priority list. You have to give some leeway for a just-released module (F 14) but still.... Anyway, I fly it every day and enjoy the hell out of it.

I read The Big Show at 15 (now a young 68). Never thought I would be in the comfort of my home watching it unfold on my screen in hidef, much as Clostermann would have seen it. Without the fear and freezing cold of course. Congrats to DCS and team. Well flown Clo Clo...I mean Philstyle.

Philstyle, thanks for the videos! I used Ford as Biggin because later Clo-Clo will move to Detling which is to the East of Biggin, so I used Chailey for that one.

I agree, a Kiwi accent would have been nice for Brutus, but I had a limited number of voice actors to work with, I hope it's OK ;)

Keep them coming!

OK, that explains it, Shame you have to work with a map that doesn't quite provide the correct base.. .

I am happy to lend my (horrible) kiwi accent to anyone who wants to make use of it :)

I'm really curious about your overall impressions. Sometimes radio chatter was taken from the book, but then it was not always possible to recreate a fluid situation where all of them would be valid all the time. So one has to use a bit of imagination sometimes. Like "Contrails, 3 o'clock" then "the bastards are right above" - not really possible at the same time, etc...
