SUBS17 Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Is yaw effected by asymmetric thrust going to be modelled? [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
eatthis Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 it already is 7700k @5ghz, 32gb 3200mhz ram, 2080ti, nvme drives, valve index vr

Moafuleum Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 You could just test it by switching off an engine in flight. Have fun during landing :music_whistling:
Banzaiib Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 you can feel it when the burners light up (especially at low speeds with high AOA, like right after takeoff)... they don't always light at exactly the same time and it pushes the nose left and right a bit
SUBS17 Posted May 14, 2019 Author Posted May 14, 2019 It is not as pronounced as the Hornet in this area. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
Strikeeagle345 Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 It is not as pronounced as the Hornet in this area. it is more pronounced. We flying the same jet? Q-Ball Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Have landed on a dead engine. It's definitely modeled.
eatthis Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 its very obvious too because the engines are very powerful and far apart 7700k @5ghz, 32gb 3200mhz ram, 2080ti, nvme drives, valve index vr
Eldur Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 I've landed the thing on one engine after flying like 50+nm with that. It's definately there, needs considerable amount of rudder input and you don't even have an FCS that tries to counter-correct it.
Chuck_Henry Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Is there a published Vmca for the F-14? One would imagine that with mishaps like LT Hultgreen being possible that there would be, but Ctrl+F "Vmca" or "minimum controllable" in the F-14B NATOPS doesn't reveal anything.
