azzameen Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Hello, good morning, I think this option will be beneficial for the new F-16. In controls, for the switch "Dogfight / Missile Override" have these options in controls: Dogfight / Missile Override - Front (Off) Dogfight / Missile Override - Rear (Off) That is, while this input is pressed, the function is operative, and when the input is released, it goes back to off. That the function of pressing and releasing the input does not have to be programmed by external software. It may also exist, for those who have the Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar: Dogfight / Missile Override – Front Dogfight / Missile Override – Off Dogfight / Missile Override - Rear Thaks you!!!! Harker Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 The M-2000C currently has something similar. I bet ED is going to have it as well. Programming-wise it's the same as, for example, the Hornet's ALE-47 3-position switch. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. Madbrood Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Yeah, there should definitely be an abstracted Dogfight Override. Since ED often put binds in for the TMW HOTAS as well, I'd argue it would be easy enough for them to include something for the Boat Switch (Aft = Dogfight, Middle = cancel, Fwd = MRM). i7-4770k | EVGA GTX 980 SC | 16GB DDR3 | TrackIR 5, TM Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals DCS: F-16C, F/A-18C, F-14A/B, AV-8B, FC3, A-10C, Black Shark II, UH-1H, F-86F, MiG-21bis, Mirage 2000C, AJS-37, F-5E :pilotfly:
Slug72 Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 I'd argue it would be easy enough for them to include something for the Boat Switch (Aft = Dogfight, Middle = cancel, Fwd = MRM). They managed it for the F/A-18C (Flaps Auto-Half/Full-Half). A similar "MRM/Cancel" & "DGFT/Cancel" arrangement would allow binding to the TMWH boat switch to emulate the real-life function. i9-9900K @5GHz, Z390 Aorus Pro, 32GB DDR4-3200MHz, EVGA RTX 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra, Seasonic Focus+ Platinum 850W PSU, TM Warthog HOTAS, CH Pro pedals, 2x MFD's, MT deskmounts, Asus 32" 1440p display, EDTracker Pro Wireless, HP Reverb
stubboyo Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 For those of us that don't have a suitable control on our HOTAS (X-55 / X-56), it would also be nice to make it bindable to a single button as a 3 way toggle which advances with each press: DGFT -> MRM -> Off

ED Team cofcorpse Posted August 19, 2019 ED Team Posted August 19, 2019 I recorded this for myself, especially, single button to cycle through DGFT/MSL/OFF
VampireNZ Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 It would also be very useful for those of us with a two-position switch on the throttle to have each position equate to activating and cancelling the specific mode. So AFT for DF/Cancel, FWD for MRM/Cancel Vampire
