agathorn Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Hey all, Been digging around trying to find documentation on whatever mod support DCS has but couldn't find much outside of modding existing things. Is it possible to make custom maps for the game or can only ED do that? If it is possible is there any documentation? tintifaxl Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Not easily done. You would need a license agreement with ED to get the map tools. Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.

So they don't allow just anyone to do it :( Intel i7-4770k @ 4.4ghz, 32gb ram, GTX 1080ti, Oculus Rift S Advanced apologies if my post contains typos or missing letters. razo+r Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 You could create a map mesh and import it in DCS as a static object and voila, a new map. Sort of
fl0w Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 As Razor stated, you can make a 3D model and code it in DCS as a static object, but it isn't exactly what you're going to be looking for. Official maps need the TDK tool in order to be created.

Is there a way to get the TDK tool upon request somehow if I asked nicely, or do I need to be some established business and pay oodles of money to get it? By ED, you need show a viable project, get a team and convert on 3rd party to get access to module and / or map SKD.
