veenee Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Doh! I was editing the file in Saved Games folder, not where DCS is installed. I have got nice white stats now, thanks guys! So many modules, so little time... www.mikphotography.com
Mean Old Man Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 (edited) FYI: you can also create the file autoexec.cfg in C:\Users\$USER\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config with the following content: options.graphics.statsColor = {250,250,250} With this you don't loose your configuration, if you update DCS. Further Information can be found in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Config/graphics_readme Edited July 11, 2019 by Mean Old Man
veenee Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 this is why I was trying to do in Saved Games! So many modules, so little time... www.mikphotography.com
cabzi Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 options.graphics.maxfps = 30 Using this in your autoexec.cfg is a terrible idea and has nothing to do with the font color.. i7-6850K | GTX1080 | 32GB DDR4 | Windows 10 Pro
Mean Old Man Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 Agreed, too much copy & paste, but the maxfps setting has it's purpose and in my case, it's an excellent idea.
veenee Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 I use NV Profile Inspector for limiting FPS, works nicely So many modules, so little time... www.mikphotography.com
VampireNZ Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 Is there any way to map the FPC counter to a button, or different keybind. I have only ever had luck showing it with physically pressing CTRL + Pause key (which is a real PITA when your keyboard is not within reach while in sim rig in VR!). You can even have a VA command to press that key combo and it doesn't work. Vampire

kaltokri Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 You can even have a VA command to press that key combo and it doesn't work. In my VA profile I have such an command and it is working without any problems. Mean Old Man Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 I use NV Profile Inspector for limiting FPS, works nicely I run DCS on an 2015 iMac, using BootCamp and drivers from BootCampDrivers.com. Unfortunately, the Limit-FPS feature from AMD doesn't work reliably for me, so I'm glad to have this parameter in my autoexec.cfg, because it provides nearly constant 30fps @1080p resolution, instead of jumping constantly from 30 fps to 60 fps.
VampireNZ Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 (edited) In my VA profile I have such an command and it is working without any problems. Congrats - I would be very interested to see that command working. I have tried everything including just press Ctrl then 0.2sec pause then Pause key then another pause then release Ctrl..still doesn't work. You also can't re-map it - and also pressing Ctrl+Pause doesn't even link to the Frame rate counter command in the options menu. Edited July 13, 2019 by VampireNZ Vampire
