ozdude Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 For some reason when I move my head in to get a closer look at switches or gauges it moves the whole cockpit. Any ideas on how to fix this? ozdude Posted June 17, 2019 Author Posted June 17, 2019 Glad your fix was that easy, I have restarted it a few times but its still the same. Was working fine before. Hoping it will just fix itself as at the moment I don't have a clue what to do about it lol Core i9 9900K, Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Ultra, 128GB G.Skill DDR4-4000, GeForce RTX 2080 Super, 3x Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD 1TB, 4x Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB 2.5" SATA, 2x 2TB HDD, 1x 1TB HDD, Windows 7 Pro, 8.1 Pro, 10 Pro.
Eaglewings Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Odyssey + here. This happen to me more often than it works correctly. I would set the room boundary again and it would work until it looses that settings. In case, my rig is close to the wall on my right, so I move my head to look at my right shoulder, it would loose the ability to move it all 6DOF. Sometimes, immediately swinging my head to left shoulder would correct it again. It is just a hit and miss thing for me. The_Nephilim Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Well for the Odyssey Plus when you first turn on the headset you are asked at some point and you see it on the screen to move your head left,Right then look down to the floor if you do not do this step headtracking will not work properly.. I would look for this step as it does it all the time it is not part of the initial setup.. ozdude Posted June 17, 2019 Author Posted June 17, 2019 Hmm might try setting room boundaries again myself. I must say I have't had so may problems and quirks with hardware in a looooong time now that I got this rift. Last time I worked so feverishly in resolving issues was back in the DOS days trying to get games to run, but then again when they were sorted out they were sorted out. With this thing its like every day brings out a new issue. Initially I had a big problem with the usb. I'd plug it into one of my many usb pcie cards and it would work, next time it didn't, not sure how many times I had to root around changing ports. For some strange reason its been working for days on end without issue plugged into the card that it absolutely refused to work on when I first installed it. That may be my issue but again I do that and sometimes and it goes into the WMR house without getting boundary sorted out. However each time I get the side to side and down setting done, I have no problem. So I will put on that side to side and down alignment. Thanks to you Nephilim for pointing that out. fargo007 Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 For the O+, just run through the WMR setup again and it fixes it. No need to shut down DCS at all. It's only like three clicks if you pick standing/fixed. Have fun. Don't suck. Kill bad guys. https://discord.gg/blacksharkden/
Headwarp Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 with my odyssey after so many times centering the headset I have to clear the environment data in the settings tab. Can't speak for the Rift S but for WMR users you might have to do this once in a blue moon. ozdude Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 Fixed the problem by re-setting up my rift s.
