Quekel Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Hi, Noticed that when you are in VR and you shake your mouse heavily the FPS will drop. This also happens when the mouse is hidden when pressing ALT+C.
nrosko Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I have noticed this also, I think they are aware of it. Win 10 64//4.5g i7 Kaby Lake//gtx Titan x pascal//16gb 3200ram//Asus Maximux Hero IX//Oculus Rift//
Quekel Posted June 20, 2019 Author Posted June 20, 2019 Wonder what it could be, if you shake hard enough it could just drop 10FPS!
Eldur Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 I haven't checked that but I'm aware that in Windows the CPU usage spikes up when moving the mouse. It's a known "feature" of Logitech mice if you use their drivers and/or programming software... guess that just takes over to the general DCS performance.

Massive newby question here so forgive me for hijacking the thread but how do I enable the mouse cursor in game to be able to click the cockpit? I’m using the Rift S... Think it's something in DCS specific
Quekel Posted July 9, 2019 Author Posted July 9, 2019 Any feedback from ED maybe? Maybe the mouse/cursor could also be a reason for dropping fps while turning and rolling etc..
M1Combat Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 (edited) FPS shooters don't tend to use 100% of a CPU core though... Try using Process Lasso or CPU affinity. Find the process that's using CPU cycles when you move the mouse using task manager (sort by CPU use) and lock it to a different core. Maybe try locking others too... maybe the VR Headset trackers?
