[NO BUG] Only Blue Objects Can Be Placed On The Map

If I select a ground vehicle and want to create a group or just place a unit, by default that unit is Blue (the same applies to structures/ships/planes/etc.). Now, if I want to change that unit to Red by say choosing Russia as the selected coalition, nothing happens. It remains Blue and I can't place my BTR-80's, Shilkas, etc. This has been the case since the last OB update. To solve the problem I open an old mission file, copy a Red unit (Ctrl + C), then go back to my new mission file and paste it (Ctrl + V). From there I can change the type of that unit, but not the coalition. I do the same with the structures, planes and so on. Hope this gets solved ASAP, so we can work normally in the ME.

The ME works here, so I suggest to perform a repair first (open a command window, navigate to /program files/eagle dynamics/dcs.openbeta/bin and run the command DCS_UPDATER REPAIR

 

If that doesnt correct the issue, then rename the folder /saved games/dcs.openbeta/mission editor/ for example to "mission editor.bak" and try again.

 

If now it works as it should, then recover the file logbook.lua from the bak folder.

If you wish this never happen again, please post that mission with broken coalitions.

Found the reason for the problem:

 

I have a mod that allows the mission editor to have planes/helicopters starting from the ground (on the road or something). Without the mod it's working fine, so it's not a bug.
