Which ones for the Cougar?

Monstertech, J-Pein? Something else?

The J-Pein looks like it might be the more stable since the vise contact is larger than the Monstertech - but the monstertech clamp looks like it would hold tighter than the simple screw-down of the J-Pein.

Appreciate your input! Cheaper options also appreciated. :D lol

Best HOTAS desk mounts

The most stable ones would be the floor stand type like the Monstertech or Wheelstand Pro, rather than the clamps. I have the Monstertech stand and it’s rock solid, can easily accommodate very heavy gear. It does take up more space and cost more, though.

I also have J-Pein and Foxx mount and they’re about equivalent. Cheaper than Monstertech products for sure.

Desk mounts are pretty solid, I have one by Virpil

Floor stands also have more leverage. However I think Virpil doesn´t provied a Cougar option.

If you are American, check also Foxxmounts

I've choose the Foxx Mount because is the only guy that could make a custom mount for my current gaming desk. I already have for my throttle the Monsterch chair mount (also good, but expensive) and I choosed the Foxx mount to change my unconfortable Wheel Stand Pro setup (I'm tired to pull and push this monster under the desk)

I'm currently waiting for my T-50 base mount, he even made a drawing for me to see how it will fit on the desk.

Make that +3 for the Foxx mounts. Just got mine a couple weeks ago and have zero regrets. They were definitely worth the wait.

I posted a couple weeks ago about the ones I made. Not difficult if you don't mind a little drilling and such, and not expensive at less than $50 US. I have link to the parts in the post.

And here is my custom VIRPIL base mount made by Foxx. Worth 100% the wait! Highly recommend it. Foxx did an amazing job for me. Now I can easily switch from center to side stick with no sweat. 5ddb0af5eb9ed1c8c4a2da4991d24194.jpg844ac735ca90ce64efb61ce08dbc910c.jpg
