SkipCarey Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 (edited) Based on the chart and experience, a used O+ is also a great choice. Well priced and nearly as clear as a Rift S. If a Reverb is not yet available, I’d wait lol. An Index though is pricier and less clear, but maybe no wait. I have a eight year old processor (I7 950 4 cores) on a asus rog extreme mobo top of the line for 2011,wmr will not proceed with the install on my rig so WMR hmds are out!funny thing is when I run valves steam vr test it gives my rig a score above the reccomended specs?so my choices are limited to valve and oculus...... Nahemoth Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Or you wait a mont or two and get reverbn2.0... Based on the chart and experience, a used O+ is also a great choice. I saw in ebay a reverb for around 900€ (including important taxes, from USA to EU), does it worth? At least is a lower price compared to index. Or maybe I go for rift s and wait for the new reverb... I have just built a new machine I want to take advantage of the holidays!
Harlikwin Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I'd say the reverb is worth it at 600usd. At 900euro I dunno, I'd probably wait for it be available in spain at a more reasonable price, and with whatever fixes they implement for V2.0. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. I have just built a new machine I want to take advantage of the holidays! It is only lower price for the Reverb if you get the full kit with controllers and two base stations. If you need them then they are a much better option than the Reverb with its WMR controllers, weaker tracking and cumbersome cable for standing games. Otherwise for seated games they cost much the same. jojo Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 It's always expensive to do a direct import from USA to Europe. I'd rather wait for it to be available somewhere in Europe. HP UK store did have it for a while. As long as the Brexit isn't applied it may be an option. Mirage fanatic !
