Mavrakson Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 i wish to see these vehicles Patriot PAC-3 (Would be much better to protect facilities from enemy missiles and planes) it has more rockets comparing to PAC-2 that has only 4 rockets THAAD (this one should be considered for strategic defense against long range ballistic missiles aka Iskander) Iron Dome (israel's best thing it's supposed to defend tel aviv and other cities against hamas rockets and it's effectiveness is almost 100%) MEADS (system intended to replace the Patriot missile system through a NATO-managed development. The program is a development of the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and France) SA-21 Growler (S-400) Would be interesting S-400 Turkey got it and it's awesome just like PAC-2 PAC-3 it's much more effective than S-300
nighthawk2174 Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Too modern to get anything close to reliable intel on + the s-400 is still waiting on its new super uber long range missiles to actually leave development as well. I'd prefer that more effort be put into SAM's to fix the truly unacceptably god awful kinematics of all of the SAM's missiles.
DeathAngel1 Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 I think ED has SA-5 (S-200 VEGA/DUBNA) in development now. But I dont know when it will be ready. ..:NAVY PILOTS ARE THE THE BEST PILOTS:..
Silver_Dragon Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 I think ED has SA-5 (S-200 VEGA/DUBNA) in development now. But I dont know when it will be ready. Sa-5 on develop https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3894026&postcount=193 3D models has include on DCS part of Sa-5 system (2:50). Northstar98 Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 While I agree with more SAMs I think I'm going to side with Nighthawk. The SAMs listed in the OP are probably too modern (some even still in development) which takes them a little beyond the scope of DCS. I think the best course of action is to go with older systems but also to upgrade the current pool of SAMs, the SA-6, S-300 and even SA-11 are probably the top 3 most in need of a facelift. It would also be good if we got appropriate support vehicles, transloaders, self propelled cranes etc. (https://www.ausairpower.net/ is a good resource for this). As for new SAMs, we are getting an SA-5 which should be a great addition to DCS, the current models present in the Model Viewer are fantastic, and are fully animated (even a freaking connector(?) panel), but there's still a fair few that could be added. Here's my current comprehensive list: MANPADS: FIM-43 Redeye 9K34 Strela-3/SA-14 Gremlin 9K32 Strela-2/SA-7 Grail Starburst LML Javelin Blowpipe RBS-70 Mistral PZR Grom Mobile/Transportable: R440 Crotale/Crotale-NG Rapier FSC Static: S-25 Berkut/SA-1 Guild Bristol Bloodhound Mk.II Modules I own: F-14A/B, F-4E, Mi-24P, AJS 37, AV-8B N/A, F-5E-3, MiG-21bis, F-16CM, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H, Mirage 2000C, FC3, MiG-15bis, Ka-50, A-10C (+ A-10C II), P-47D, P-51D, C-101, Yak-52, WWII Assets, CA, NS430, Hawk. Rapier FCS has added some mounts ago and have funtional into DCS. I didn't know that about the SA-7 and SA-14, I know the Mistral is on the Gazelle With Rapier, I was speaking specifically about the FSC system/Rapier 2000 which is a lot more advanced than the current FSA version we have currently (the FSC/Rapier 2000 has a spherical EO/IR tracker mounted on launcher, the launcher carries 8 instead of 4 missiles, Blindfire is upgraded with EO/IR, search RADAR mounted separately). The FSA version we currently have has the search RADAR mounted on the launcher, 4 missiles per launcher, an early version of Blindfire and a separate manually operated optical tracker. Harlikwin Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Yeah, I'd really like to see some older SAM systems. SA4 is another one I'd like to see. I'd also like stuff like the SA4/6/8/etc be more mobile in general and use mobility tactics. (hopefully coming with the IADS upgrade) New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1) Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).
Silver_Dragon Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 (edited) I didn't know that about the SA-7 and SA-14, I know the Mistral is on the Gazelle The 3D models has present (outdated) into ED DCS>Bazar>World>Shaped directory from the Lomac / FC tymes, but never implemented as a large quantity of weapons (durandals, ASW bombs) , aircrafts (F-111,Harrier), etc..... :music_whistling: Check the "list on vacant models" on my sygnature for more info. Kang Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 I would be happy if those that are around would all work correctly.
