Black flashes have returned similar to what we were getting with Rift CV1 a few months back. Last night during low level return to carrier, within 5 miles of CVN group started getting brief black flashes in Rift S. Anyone else getting this?

Just to be clear, the black flashes and static flashes are two different things. A Rift firmware update resolved the static flashes. Then an update or two later in DCS I started seeing random brief black flashes in one eye or the other, never both at once.

This has continued and now I'm using an HP Reverb and I still see them. So different head sets, different USB ports, even different display ports and three different video drivers.

It's a little annoying but doesn't happen too often once I'm airborne. I notice it happening more on the tarmac.

I saw black flashes for the first time last night, coincidentally at the same time I had turned on fullscreen mode in DCS (which greatly improved performance). When I played tonight I didn't see them and found that if I start DCS from the desktop, with the oculus app closed and the headset off, then go in. I don't seem to get them. If I use the oculus app first, and use the virtual desktop however, I seem to get them quite badly.

I have only tested this to a limited degree, so it could prove to be wrong. But I definitely never saw a black flash before I turned on the fullscreen checkbox, and I played quite a bit like that.
