I have two recordings highlighting issues with TACAN not displaying the correct distance to airfield on HUD, as well as the course line not calibrating correctly.

Essentially, once the TACAN channel is provided in my case 31X, the distance to the airfield doesn't adjust accordingly. The closer I get the distance indicator stays on 57.0 TSK. After restarting TACAN on the UFC, it works fine and outputs the correct readings.

 

Course Line CSEL issue:

The course line was set to 088 degrees which was designated on the Aerodrome map. As I try to intercept the course line, it doesn't adjust on the HSI to indicate that I am closing in on the course line. After switching off D/L and turning TACAN off and on again, and then readjusting the course line back to 088, it then works, and as you can see in the video I actually overshoot the course line.

you dont have a short track replay showing the issue by any chance.

 

I will try to replicate, but it would save time if we had a track showing it.

I had the TACAN issue with the Stennis/74x 3 or 4 times at the end of missions. I tried but totally unable to reproduce in the mean of making a short track.

The tacan balise stayed at same blocked distance until I turned off and on again.

I would assume these are bugs because it works sometimes depending on the map I'm on and which airfield I choose to land on.

 

The TACAN bug effects multiple ED modules and isn't Hornet specific, AFAIK it appeared with the introduction of DCS 2.5 (I never used 2.0).

Ahh I see. Those reports didn't mention the CSEL issue. Is the course line bug related to or affected by the TACAN issue as stated in those reports?

Yes - if you look at your CSEL video you'll see that prior to resetting the TACAN, distance and bearing was frozen at 119°/57.1nm, after the reset the station updated to 89°/59.3nm and the Course Line corrected itself.
