You should try jumping on the exhaust, in Phoenix, during a BPO, in the summer...:D up hill...you get the point.

I did do that at Luke, we had a intake leak, so they said....Also another thing that sucked at Luke was H-70 responses, wearing that plastic suit and it being over 100 degrees is not a fun time.

Exhaust is worst man, eyes hurt so hot. The Nomex sucks so bad, thank God I never had to use it in Phoenix.

Preflights when it's -20c is also great fun, especially at 7am in the morning. Then again, you've got the world's best heater in the shelter with you....

Clustermunitions is just another way of saying that you don't like someone.

I used to like people, then people ruined that for me.

Where did you do that at? I was stationed in Alaska for 6 years. Changing FFT seals at -20 isn't fun either.

I got to do that at Bodø MAS here in Norway back in 2000 when I did my mandatory military-service. Great fun. The best parts is when you're in a hardened shelter that opens westward when it's -10c and a nice bit of wind and snowing sideways, since the HAS becomes a natural wind-tunnel. Was damn glad we had good coldweather-gear, heh, and that the only piece of skin exposed was the area around the eyes (no goggles, but both helmet and mask with intercom).

Hehe, pragmatic approach - as long as it's removable marker being used ;) :)

From the book “A-10s over Kosovo”, p. 209.

The Hog had abundant cockpit space for stacks of maps, mission materials, and gyrostabilized binoculars. It also had a big canopy on which to write, with grease pencil, the target area and striker information.

For a split-second I thought I spotted Tom Cruise in an actual fighter.

But then the world spun back to sane order. :)

Sorry for spinning your world back out of order ;)
