^^^ Why are the flags of France, Italy and Portugal on the tail reversed?

It's probably Y axis mirrored image...;)

..or not as the text on the billboard behind seems normal!!

Flags on aircraft are always "reversed" on the right side of the aircraft. Imagine holding a flag on a pole, then run with the pole...which way does the flag go? It sort of symbolizes that your country is advancing, not retreating. Just like how U.S. soldiers with American patches on their right sleeves have the flag "reversed". It's not really reversed, that just what a real flag would look like from the other side!

May he Rest In Peace...

RIP :(

Check for minimum altitude -THEN- execute the maneuver. If there is some reason to be afraid of flying it is this - an experienced pilots still making some basic mistakes...

They must be blind....

ROE - shoot.

Why do you say that? I watched the whole video. Those people appeared to be armed (at one point AK-47 clearly visible). Camera optics taken as RPG... All of this at probably worse viewing conditions (shaky, small LCD display) than we all have using fullscreen mode on YouTube. I'm open to suggestions on what could have given the gunner a clue that he deals with press - not Taliban. IMO the communications is the only thing that failed. The mission operator had no information that those journalists will be at that exact location. The mission operator hadn't had that information so it's even more silly to blame gunners. And what's with the children. Was that a moronic attempt to imply that those who did the shooting should have seen them?! I hope not.

Regarding soldiers' attitude. Some people see racism on the video. They should certainly seek qualified help. Possibly the worst thing being said there is something like "look at those dead bustards". Well, those who probably could kill soldier's squad buddies one day ARE bustards to him. And the fact is they were dead.

The pilot was 33-years-old Captain Anderson Amaro, who had over 3600 flight-hours and 180 demonstrations with Esquadrilha da Fumaça.

It was that old deadly bank demonstration pilots do to perform the pull alligned with the runway. It extends the way he has to go to start going up again, but sometimes he just doesn't have the height or the speed to do it in time.

I'm not sure if he came in too low, or too slow, or even if he went in within the limits but left without one of those. Or even some problem happened with the aircraft, it's hard to tell...

Who doesn't have an AK in Iraq.... Body gaurds have AKs, Private Security have AKs, Law abiding Civilionseven have AKs.

It's like America with handguns..

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Does anyone know of official military photos websites? All US services have very good photos (USMC, USN, USAF, Army, Cost Guard, etc)

Is there other official military websites with good photos? I just would like to see more HD photos for other cool vehicles.
