To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Since some countries don't believe in wholesome family entertainment and they are blocking youtube videos, I uploaded the videos zipped with rar and I uploaded the VLC setup file so you can watch the videos of Carrier ops aboard the enterprise. Let them Try to block this!:music_whistling:

The way it works is The link will take you to a page with a green dot counting down from 10 seconds when it gets to 0 it will show "proceed to Download Page" (click on that). You will than be taken to the next page and below the ad box you will see "click here to download your file" click on it and save it to your system. Enjoy the videos!

I dont know why, but I really like the F-2, its a real beauty, maybe even more so than the original F-16.

I'm very caonfused here, what are main (visual) differences between F-2 and F-16?!

I always thought F-2 was a licence built F-16 with external differences no greater than camo!

F-2 is 20% larger, visual differences are smaller LERX's, more pronounced dihedral wings with 2 extra hard points, the cockpit is framed whereas the falcons is single piece. The F-2 also uses composites more extensively, the cockpit has 3 large digital displays, a different HOTAS and the worlds first AESA radar produced locally in Japan.

Phew, I never knew that 'cause judging by glance without any exploration I always thought it's a license built Falcon!

So Pilot thanks for answer!

^^^^^^

I just googled F-2 and I must say it's pretty expensive - US$110mil?!

Japan should have gone for F-22 but I guess license and home production were the key element it their decision!

The composite structure is much more expensive than an aluminum equivalent, and required new dedicated tooling. Also the electronics for avionics and radar have been locally developed requiring a considerable R&D dedicated for that plane alone, with no hope for exports for a bigger production run (costs dilution) due to post WWII treaties.
