there wont be a BS for lock on -> its a own game now

 

 

 

Since the Amraam flies slower
and: you can fire a R77 earlier, because its flying faster.

 

 

 

 

for example: (all launches at same conditions!)

 

10 seconds after the launch:

the R77 is 7846,4 m away from launchposition

the aim-120 is 7119,18 m away

 

20 seconds:

R77: 14176,27m

aim-120: 12751,77m

 

30 seconds:

R77: 17784,31m

aim-120: 16263,25m

 

 

Here you can see it:

the aim 120 reaches its max. speed of 3035 kmh after 7 seconds

the R 77 reaches its max. speed of 3321 kmh after 8 seconds

 

 

 

you can see it here (i know, the graph is not perfekt because 100% right calculations arent possible)

It's not that the AMRAAM is So Much Worse, than other missiles,
as you can see, the amraam is ;)

Yup. It suffices to do a Tacview recording to see the dramatic impact of this on these kinds of engagements. The Amraam's lower speed is out of balance with the rest of the settings (seeker FOV etc.), with known results.

right. and this should be fixed as fast as possible.

F-15 pilots have a big disadvantage with their missiles in lock on :(

 

@ yoda: no, im talking about lock on fc 1.12 o.O

 

how do your missiles accelerate?!? if you have talk about lock on too, its the same.

if done 3 or more tests for each missile, always the same conditions and same results

The difference in distance of about 1 mile after 20 seconds is in the context we are talking about extremely relevant and crucial.

That's ... definitely not right. Not at high altitude. ;)

 

If it comes to a merge and nobody is hit on the first head-on,

the su-27 SHOULD win, unless the F-15 is significantly lower on fuel

or the sukhoi is not carrying missiles. The advantage of the 27

IN THIS CASE (past merge with missiles) also increases with higher altitude

if you were wondering ;). No complaints here, this is probably as it should be.

You know I was actually counting the hours until

you would reply EXACTLY this ^^.

 

When saying "is right" my point was everything except the altitude. (that part was just a lockon observation,

even though the post sort of says otherwise) Yes the Su-27 should have better instantaneous turn rate than F-15,

saying something else doesn't make sense.

Very important and easy for 1.13:

 

Add 1680x1050 resolution.

 

Not everybody knows how to edit the file or don´t like to do these things.

Another thing, change numer of path from 1.13 to 1.14, 13 is the number of bad luck.

Amraams kill eachother?

 

I may see things wrong, but I have several acmi files where it seems that if I shoot two Amraam not so long after one another, they manage to destruct eachother. Anyway they just disappear.

 

I can do this trick over and over again BTW, and I realize it accounts for many Amraam engagements (off-line) that go bad.

 

See acmi file in attach. BTW I did wait until both missiles where active before banking away.

something like this can happen.

 

with lots of luck you also can kill hostile missiles (and maybe yours kill the one of you opponent, but is still flying -> so 1 missile can make 2 kills X-D)

I remember before ED decide to make BS a independent game, they promised to make AI more clever and more humane. I hope they can keep the promise in the v1.13

In v1.1 the Su-25T and F-18 got new shape, I hope in the v1.13 would have new shapes for all flyable plane.

More reality control would be good. Su-25T have a master power switch and it's engines have to be start seperately. I hope it will apply for all flyable plane.

All I am trying to say is: I hope lock on can be a BS game without Ka-50 flyable.

And the sun, it'll be perfect if it can blind player's eyes.

would be nice, but this takes lot of time. ED should fix the most important bugs in lock on, not to remake it.

 

but the shapes are done by modders, watch the new f-15, a-10, f-5 etc :)

As far as I know the export values for a locked target have been disabled with FC for export.

Su-27 SM would be nice:) or just put 77s on "27s", Tiered of stupid and bad ERs. HELP ED plz :)
none new things, first fix the 'old'

But missile fixes include the R-27 too (because SARH are realy stupid :doh:)

 

PS. there wont be a Su-27SM, simply because they entered service in russia ~ 2006. But Lock on is in the time of the cold war

Why it should be a tone or smthg like it???

In real life Eagles have a cross "big X" so we need just an application or marking
