tmansteve Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 As we progress with this great sim, I have a quick question. When updating dcs, do we have to disable all mods etc in the Saved Games folder as we would with the Root installation? I always disabled everything in both just in case of overwriting. Cheers
razo+r Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Normaly, you don't have to disable anything. Neither in the root nor in the saved games directory.
Snacko Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 (edited) If you install mods in the main folder with jsgme or Ovgme, you should disable all the mods. If you don't, they will still think they have those mods install, and give you errors. Rudel_chw Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 I only disable those mods that go into the DCS Program Folder .. no need to do the same with the Mods that go onto Saved Games. tmansteve Posted October 6, 2019 Author Posted October 6, 2019 OK, cheers for that. I usually disable everything just in case as I knew you could get errors from the main install. Might stick to my guns at least I feel safe. I use JSGME so it makes life easier as well. Cheers Guys
