if a non-marker-creator deletes a marker, please only delete it for himself

Currently, afaik, anyone can delete anyone's markers for the entire team. please only delete it for the person that deletes it, unless the marker-creator deletes it (then delete for entire team).

(A way too complex alternative would be to activate logging of marker-deletion IF the non-creator deletes someone else's marker, so we can contact those people who delete markers to tell them to not do it...)

DCS Wishlist: 2K11 Krug SA-4 Ganef SAM, VR-TrackIR icons next to player names in score-chart

PvP: 100+ manual player-kills with Stingers on a well known dynamic campaign server - 100+ VTOL FARP landings & 125+ hours AV-8B, F-14 crew, royal dutch airforce F-16C - PvP campaigns since 2013

DCS server-admins: please adhere to a common sense gaming industry policy as most server admins throughout the industry do. (After all there's enough hostility on the internet already which really doesn't help anyone. Thanks.)

the problem is with large dynamic campaign types of MP mission that may span several days or weeks.

You could end up with hundreds of markers that can only be deleted by the person who placed them who might not ever be back in the server, or during a server reset.

The way it is is good, because as the mission rolls on we can delete all irrelevant markers. We don't need a SAM marker left that was destroy 3 hours ago.

If you need permanent markers (farp locations etc) speak to the mission creator.

Delete a client's markers when they disconnect, then.

The very helpful self-appointed map police deleting your markers can get kind of annoying when you are trying to create a flight plan for the Viggen.

you misunderstood, the idea is everyone can delete every marker, but it will only delete the marker for the person who deletes it UNLESS it's a marker that you created yourself, then it would vanish for everyone

It would be nice if we could have private markers (visible only to the person who made them) for our flight-planning needs, and public markers to share info with others.
